Add Battery Coin Cell Holder on PCB #1
Comments
Can you suggest some preferred part numbers and/or footprints? |
In the latest versions I am not connecting the Vbat (and any other pins that are not part of the "standard" pins installed teensy 4.0) to the PCB. Is it possible and reasonable to connect Vbat and ground via wires to the teensy 4.0 and then glue a horizontal battery holder to the underside of the "top panel" PCB. |

Suggestion to add a vertical coin cell holder to the PCB layout for the Teensy onboard RTC. Not required for keyer use but if a display is added later, other features can leverage time, or just be useful for hand logging while in the field - microwave, SOTA, POTA operations for example.
