Probable pre-requisite for parts of #1002

Currently (and in #989) they only test the replication and syncing of simple isolated objects.

The behaviour of relation objects in the P2P system is currently undefined - fixing any bugs/querks encountered is out of scope of this ticket, but they should preferably be documented if/when encountered.
