Hi! My name is Artur, nice to meet you. I am a software engineer for a very long time and I love to work on projects that can help other people, either by creating tools that other can use, plugins or even services to make people's lives easier.
I love teaching and mentoring, specially new developers. Out of work, I am the founder of V de Vegança, a search engine that tells people if a product or an ingredient has eggs, milk, gluten and so on, which is at the same time a community for vegans and vegetarians. I have also been dedicating myself to another project, Make My Date, to help people to book special days with their special ones.
I have also been speaking at many international conferences as a way to give back to the community a little bit of all amazing things I learn from it, although I have stopped giving talks after Covid started for security reasons. Besides that, I had two tech blogs for a while: one at medium and one very simple where I started sharing what I learned about Elixir, even though I stopped writing on it for a long time.
Three times I worked for free to help non-profit organizations
- Arsenal, to provide homeless shelter
- Mungazi, a portal for refugees
- Obra do Berço, a non-profit that helps young people in a vulnarability situation
Supporting me on GitHub directly supports my ongoing efforts to create new tools and services for the community.
Thank you for your support!
