What: I am modifying the documentation for the project:

  • README.md - included a contributing guide section so users can easily find the existing contribution guide
  • CONTRIBUTING.md - added links to all the major sections in this guide. I expanded on the bug report section by adding steps to do before creating a new bug report. Also, I expanded on the fixing issues section by pointing out the issue labels that newcomers can start to work on

Why: When I first started looking at this project, I noticed there wasn't a contribution guide at first. I started working on my own guide but then realized there was an existing guide. I wanted to add better visibility to this guide on the README.md file as other projects do.

How: using GitHub's editor
