Private Home Directory

The Private Home Directory (PHD) is where Civilizer keeps various application related or user related data/settings.

By default, Civilizer will create a PHD at "~/.civilizer"

"~" denotes your home directory.

Alternatively, you can switch to a different PHD by providing one as an application parameter. (Read this for more details)

The most important file the PHD keeps is "app-options.properties".
This file contains:

• A path to your database file.
• A path to the File Box storage.
• A user locale.
• And other optional parameters.
