A few to-dos noted while putting the first version together:

  • read Nodes from the .pbf, not just DenseNodes
  • trap Lua errors when reading node_tags
  • simplify geometries at small scales (specify with 'simplify_below' option)
  • project-wide clipping box
  • fill holes in areas
  • route relations
