@tdwg/infrastructure, can anyone provide me with background information on the "Definition of the Delta Format" standard? I assume I should migrate this to GitHub, but who will maintain it there or can make decisions? @sblum do you know?

As a prework to SDD Id ask that working group. Walter Berendsohn might also know

@tdwg/sdd @WalterBerendsohn, I'm tasked with migrating the "Definition of the Delta Format" TDWG standard to GitHub. Can you provide me with some information regarding its status and who should be in charge of maintaining it and making decisions? Otherwise we have a dead standard on our hands. :-)

Actually, I think Gregor Hagedorn might be a better person to ask. Also, Walter is on a motorcycle vacation for much of August.

Dear Peter,

thanks for tackling this! Just coming back from my own family holidays.

DELTA, although an old format, still has relevance so I vote for
maintaining the standard.

Mike Dallwitz, writing from Mike Dallwitz [email protected] is
still active, have you been able to reach him?

I am willing to take on a co-responsibiltity for DELTA if Mike agrees.

Best

Hi @gmhagedorn, picking this up again. I'll contact Mike once I have created the repository. Ok if I use delta as a short name?
