How to work with a remote server

To follow this tutorial you will need a UNIX compatible terminal (and an Internet connection). If you have a Mac you'll be able to use your OS X terminal to do almost every step, and of course if you have a Linux machine you'll be perfectly capable of using the Terminal shipping with your distribution.

If you have Windows, you'll probably want to remotely connect to a Linux server via SSH, so there are some notes to do so:
