Easy

  1. Find icon on Noun Project or Flat Icon website. The icon should be relatively easy to transform - as simple as possible with mostly straight lines or lines with one curve.

  1. Open the icon in Sketch. Select all the icon elements and press ⌘ + C.

  1. Open a new document and create an 100x100px artboard.

  1. Paste the icon elements (⌘ + V), then delete all the unnecessary elements. If an element has an "inside" and "outside" - select the element, press Enter, select and delete the points along the inside edge.

  1. Uncheck the fill and delete it, then add a 3px stroke. Click the gear icon on the top right of the stroke box and select rounded ends and rounded corners.

  1. Create lines with the same height as the original lines (press L for shortcut)

  1. Select all but the main element and drag them into the main element. Set the combine style to none by clicking the icon to the right of the element name.

  1. Export the artboard as an SVG.

  1. Open up the SVG file in a text editor.

  1. Remove all the extraneous information and save.
