when opening File Explorer, clicking on any folder with files on the desktop or on the disk freezes and then restarts File Explorer. Help me how to fix this problem, the update has some kind of bug and breaks the normal operation of the explorer

Please post explorer patcher version.

Version - 22621.4317.67.1

Since you are using Dev, please understand that you are subject to breaking bugs like this.

I'll try to upgrade to a newer build today and let you know the results. I noticed this problem a few builds ago, maybe this bug was finally fixed in this one. I do not know, I have not installed the update yet

Performed windows recovery - Windows 11 Insider Preview 10.0.26120.2213 (ge_release_upr) (recovery version)

it didn't help, the error with the explorer still remains, I can't go to any folder on the desktop, I also can't open any folder in my computer and disks C and D

Does uninstalling resolve the issue? If it doesn't, something else is causing the crash.

this problem is observed on the last 3 builds in the Dev channel, rolling back to the previous version 11 for Windows insider preview 10.0.26120.1930 (ge_release_upr) solves the problem.

The problematic versions of the following have numbers, they are the ones that break my explorer:
Windows 11 Insider Preview 10.0.26120.2122 (ge_release_upr)
Windows 11 Insider Preview 10.0.26120.2200 (ge_release_upr)
Windows 11 Insider Preview 10.0.26120.2213 (ge_release_upr)

In these versions, the explorer is damaged

Okay then, please go to %localappdata%\CrashDumps and send the most recent crash from explorer.exe. I'll see.

Works on 26120.2213, using the 7 command bar. I don't know what's next to help you.

And your explorer exiting is due to explorer being not responding, therefore killed by winlogon. This way no crash dumps are made, making this harder for me to diagnose.

Do you have any other mods involved? Such as TranslucentTB, Wallpaper Engine, Windhawk, Start11, StartAllBack, etc.

No, no third-party explorer extensions are installed.

You'll laugh, but pressing the F11 button helped me. I will describe the sequence of actions:

  1. Opened the explorer, pressed F11, the explorer stretched to full screen
  2. pressed F11 again, the explorer took its original window position
  3. after that everything started working, I have folders opening correctly both on the desktop and in my computer on disk C and D

I do not know how this is related, but it is possible this article is the key to solving this problem (translate it into English): https://habr.com/ru/news/758872/
