    This patch sets the following environment variables when running the release
command:

* `$GX_VERSION` (replaces `$VERSION`)
* `$GX_NAME`
* `$GX_AUTHOR`
* `$GX_LICENSE`
* `$GX_LANGUAGE`
* `$GX_HASH`
