Bootrom Dumper Utility (BDU)

Updated version of pod2g's tool. Automatically detects device in DFU mode and dumps the bootrom.

Compatible Devices:

- iPhone2,1 (s5l8920)
- iPhone3,1 (s5l8930)
- iPhone3,2 (s5l8930)
- iPhone3,3 (s5l8930)
- iPod3,1   (s5l8922)
- iPod4,1   (s5l8930)
- iPad1,1   (s5l8930)

Requirements:

- OS X or Linux box
- libusb/libusbx > 1.0.8
- ARM toolchain (one with objcopy - Apple's will not suffice)

Usage:

- Execute with root privileges: 

sudo ./bdu

If the device type cannot be detected automatically, try invoking with the -s flag:

sudo ./bdu -s s5l8930
