Project Description
Our project is based on a form currently used by military officers around the US. Each form is a spreadsheet that lists the subordinates under an officer and describes when each one needs to perform a specific duty (job) during the month. The current problem is that when the commanding officer fills out this hand-written form for over a hundred soldiers, they must be very thorough and ensure that conflicts between forms do not arise. These documents can take the officer hours to prepare, and must be accurate enough to defend their job if a subordinate feels that they are treated unfairly with the schedule.
This is where the DutyRoster6 comes in; We are going to make a desktop program in Windows where commanding officers and other personnel can add and remove both subordinates and duties. It will be set up where the user can print out the form for their records and show who has what duties during the month. This application will ensure a smaller chance of conflict and save time and energy for the user.
