Install Java 17

wget https://download.java.net/openjdk/jdk17/ri/openjdk-17+35_linux-x64_bin.tar.gz
sudo mkdir -p /usr/lib/jvm
sudo tar zxvf openjdk-17+35_linux-x64_bin.tar.gz -C /usr/lib/jvm
sudo update-alternatives --install "/usr/bin/java" "java" "/usr/lib/jvm/jdk-17/bin/java" 1
sudo update-alternatives --set java /usr/lib/jvm/jdk-17/bin/java
java -version

OPTIONAL TO SWAP THE VERSION:

sudo update-alternatives --config java

Hover over the Boxes then you can copy paste it in the console, everything will be done automatically!

Note that if you do it without SUDO you might not have permissions to execute a specific Command

Make sure to be in the User: "root" by typing su root / su - / sudo su
