Terms you should know to use the library effectively

  • Key: immutable data class that represents where you are in the application. Think of it as "screen identifier".

  • Backstack: the "source of truth" for current navigation history, and the services that should be built based on said history.

  • StateChange: represents a change from one navigation state to another.

  • History: the navigation history, that is actually an immutable list of keys.

  • StateChanger: the class that handles when the navigation state changes, and calls the callback when the state change is complete.
