As briefly discussed on misc@ (in the Isolate questions thread), I think it would be great to support isolates monitoring (in the Erlang style).
Basically, it means that when an isolate dies (either normally or by an error), another isolate (most likely the spawning one) can get notified. It is a pretty powerful primitive on top of which you can build a lot of interesting stuff (supervision trees etc.).
In the Dart land, it would probably mean passing a SendPort to the spawn function (or maybe a special spawnAndMonitor function), and this port would receive a single message when the spawned isolate dies. The message needs to contain the cause of death.
