How To contribute

dillbyrne edited this page May 25, 2015 · 7 revisions

In addition to code or donations there are easy non technical ways to contribute. If you notice a browser profile missing or you would like to provide an updated version you can do so using the information below.

Helping out on these will provide a benefit to all users of RAS. It will allow me to focus on adding more functionality and fixing bugs as otherwise I have to spend a great deal of time hunting down all the various bits and pieces of information here and there which is extremely time consuming.

Information Needed for a Browser Profile

You can obtain the information needed for a browser profile by visiting the following links the device name and model.

http://browserspy.dk/browser.php to get the general profile

http://browserspy.dk/accept.php to get the headers

http://browserspy.dk/screen.php to get the screen information

You can open an issue if one such as https://github.com/dillbyrne/random-agent-spoofer/issues/96 is closed and add the profile info and I will add it.

Improving support for more than one accept header language

I need non US users to submit their default accept language headers for any ( non firefox based ) profile that RAS has. They have to be the default values for your country or region as a list of custom languages that you modified will stand out and do more harm than good.

What you can do to help is send me the output of http://browserspy.dk/accept.php for each browser you can find for your native region. Be sure to download the version of the browser for your language/region.

I can add any of the firefox ones myself as mozilla makes localized versions of the browser available but I need help getting the default accept language headers for non US regions.

If you live in Russia for example and your OS is in Russian and you download Chrome your default accept language header should be different from the default US Chrome accept language header.

One browser of each kind will be enough. eg one Safari and one Chrome etc all with your default accept language header.

You can add the information to https://github.com/dillbyrne/random-agent-spoofer/issues/67

Improving the date spoofing support

If you could send me the output of http://browserspy.dk/date.php it will help with research on spoofing the date and time strings.

I need the date and time and your browser and platform as it seems there is discrepancies between date strings on different browsers on different platforms.

You can add any information to https://github.com/dillbyrne/random-agent-spoofer/issues/66
