Aggregations such as percentiles return multiple numeric values. You could imagine a situation in which you would want to see these all charted together. For example, chart the 25th, 50th and 75th percentile for home price over the course of a year. How do we do that?

In addition, if we have the ability to chart multi-value metric aggs, then we have the ability to add several metric aggs, eg cardinality AND average.

Good reference http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/68%E2%80%9395%E2%80%9399.7_rule

"In statistics, the 68–95–99.7 rule, also known as the three-sigma rule or empirical rule, states that nearly all values lie within three standard deviations of the mean in a normal distribution.

68.27% of the values lie within one standard deviation of the mean. Similarly, 95.45% of the values lie within two standard deviations of the mean. Nearly all (99.73%) of the values lie within three standard deviations of the mean."

Something I missed on Kibana 3 is displaying two value columns on the same chart (i.e cardinality vs time) that typically is on the same source entry aggregated by time.
