- What were mentors experiences during the internship?
- To what extent did mentors perceptions change over the course of the internship?
The purpose of this study is to understand:
- Mentors’ perceptions of the effectiveness of the internship.
- Perceived challenges or barriers they faced as a mentor.
- Changes in their perceptions of themselves as an effective mentor.

Survey: scaled and open-ended items
- Due to a small sample size, this research was not conducted during TWE 2022.
- To obtain some quantitative data, some of the questions from the survey were included in the interviews instead.

- Survey questions need to be created using a Google form.
- There was a stripped-down public-facing version of the Research Plan created (see link below). However, there needs to be a more thorough Research Plan created that will be used internally for TWE volunteers.
