Disregard the below, I downloaded from Parse some images from ios submissions, and they also don't have location/date metadata, so I suspect Parse is stripping it. Leaving the below here for context

Actually, it seems like when I download the files from Parse, they somehow no longer have the EXIF metadata. Here's an example JPEG:
