Import from Chrome

This guide was written primarily for the Google chrome browser, but it should work with any browser based on chrome (like Opera, Vivaldi, Brave, Edge etc.)

Export from the browser

1. Navigate to chrome://settings/.
2. Select "Passwords" (usually in the "AutoFill" section).
3. Click the "⋮" icon and select "Export passwords".
4. Click the "Export passwords" button in the dialog.
5. Save the file on your pc.

Import into Passwords

1. Open the Passwords app.
2. Click on the "🗃" icon in the bottom left corner to open "Backup and Restore".
3. Choose "Restore or import".
4. Select "Chrome / Google Passwords CSV" as import format.
5. Open the file you exported before using the file dialog.
6. Choose import options as wanted.
7. Click the "Import" button.
8. After the import has finished, check the imported passwords.
9. Delete the export file from your computer.
