We're hoping to do a bit of a hackfest today, wanted to write down a few thoughts --

Goals

show test infrastructure, for those who want to contribute code
point people at issues for those who want to gain experience with github, doctests, jup notebooks, etc.
move closer to a 2.0 pre-release :)

Some potential items for people to do:

update documentation with R code for reading matrix #223 update document with R code for working with matrix.
revisit jupyter demo notebooks / binder stuff before 2.0 release #430 revisit Jupyter notebooks (list, run, evaluate, do more, and/or binderize)
reporting on number of sequences with 'sourmash compute --merge' is wrong #352 fix reporting on sourmash compute
review [MRG] add query name to CSV output of sbt categorize #421
identify blog posts to add to docs add blog post to docs #313
More API docs. #329 write some doctest-style tutorials for signature manipulation!
answer Comparing metagenomes help? #294 and make sure answers are in docs
add median k-mer multiplicity to gather output #428 add median k-mer multiplicity to gather output
