Organizational and Promotion:

  • Protocol updated from last meeting
  • New members: Waldburger Ingenieure will join the QGEP group from 1.1.2021
  • The QGEP group started with 12 members and gained 4 new members in 2020 (Ingenieurbüro Senn (Markus Senn), Sutter Ingenieur- und Planungsbüro AG (Saeid Rezvani), Geopoint lütolf (Gregor Lütolf / Peter Zamudio) and La Chaux-de-fonds (Gildas Allaz) (+33%)
  • For 2021 Vevey will rejoin again and another wastewater association will apply in the first quarter. Contacts to a series of further engineering companies are maintained.

Public relations

  • The group agreed to a new name and logo that was developed by an external consultant and designer and discussed during workshop 1 and 2.
  • The group agreed on the concept for a new website. It will be developed in Q1/2021

Code of conduct

  • The draft of a code of conduct was discussed and agreed on in general. Some details will be improved based on member feedbacks. This is planned to be presented in workshop 3.

Improved documentation

Developments 2020

  • OK: Update existing SWMM (hydraulic simulation software) plugin and develop import / export interface for QGEP (phase 1 export completed and integrated in the QGEP plugin)
    • Improvements of first version during use with Gruner Böhringer AG Current – planned #559
    • Improved error descriptions and help for debugging #613
    • Ideas for user friendlyness #614
  • OK: PUM Windows interface

Configuration for Windows

  • OK: Multi select and linking (documentation added)
  • Financed / in progress: Documentation system (co-financing QGEP, qwat and others)
  • OK: Import of GPS data (Pully)
  • In progress: Installation of QGEP – Support tool (financed by Holinger AG)

Planned Developments 2021

  • Financed / in progress: Improve network following algorithm to be able to:

    • select (all) connected elements (such as catchments)
    • select subsets (e.g. one or several branches)
    • combine the two for export selection of data (to INTERLIS or SWMM)

  • Financed / in progress: Implement workflow for importing VSA-KEK data from WinCan VX and develop workflow for export / import of network data to / from channel TV inspection companies (new network data, updated network data) #600

  • Financed / in progress: INTERLIS Export "button": Add QGEP INTERLIS Export, that is currently a series of SQL scripts and interaction with ili2db in one or two steps in the processing tools and integrate it into the QGEP plugin. Check out option to use Modelbaker plugin to do some of the tasks.

  • Partly implemented: Easier customization of the _label in wastewater_structure table #524

  • Financed: SWMM Plugin phase 2 - import of results. Add requirements for import and place to store final results (there is a model extension of VSA-DSS planned that will allow to store HydrBelastung_Ist (%) for reaches). For further results see also measurements section of VSA-DSS model.

  • Extend data model for log cards (Stammkarten) and create necessary views to display those (many cantons are currently starting to requiring this)

  • Improve INTERLIS Export to export also labels (in _Text Classes) #552

  • Add reach split functionality to QGEP plugin #527

  • Model upgrade to release 2020 of VSA-DSS data model, that was published in October (see www.vsa.ch/models)

  • System information and health checks #602

  • MikeUrban+ interface (in a similar way as SWMM) - check whether MikeUrban+ is capable to import SWMM data (to do KF)

  • Multi select and linking to same object for maintenance_events, catchements, ...

  • Log card reports and Schachtprotokoll #438

  • Integration of Schutzrohr and Fernwirkkabel in data model
