John is an 25-year old technical recruiter looking to hire technical talent.

Background

When John was a kid, he loved to tamper with computers. He would often take apart his electronic toys to see what was inside of them. His admiration of computers drove him to work in a computer repair shop when he was 16. John worked at that repair shop until he went off to college and got his Bachelor's degree in computer science.

John is very smart and he is a stickler for doing things efficiently. He's always looking for a faster and better solution. In his free time, John likes to solve puzzles and play strategy games. He is an MLG-enthusiast and he also likes riding motorcycles.

Career Life

John is the one of the lowest-producing recruiters at his company. He has a very hard time connecting to and securing hires. He often spends his time perusing LinkedIn and participating at career fairs and other networking events. John is focused on recruiting more technical talent so he can continue to support his family.

John actively participates in the career fairs and networking events on college campuses. He tries to connect with every person that walks by his booth. He actively tries to expand his professional network to maximize his likeliness of finding a hire. Because John tries to reach as much talent as possible, he must carry around dozens of copies of his business cards with his social media information. John hates carrying around so many cards because he is clumsy and seems to end up dropping them all over the floor at least 2 or 3 times per event. This leaves an extremely bad impression on potential hires. He wishes there was a better way to manage and exchange contact information.

Social Life

John is an avid social media user. He is constantly perusing LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook. John likes to connect and keep in contact with any new people that he meets via social media. He finds exchanging contact information to be a hassle sometimes, particularly when he is exchanging information with a group of people. Many people have long and drawn out usernames that are easy to misspell and take a long time to type out. There are also issues of multiple people having similar names. If John wanted to add a potential hire he just met named Ashley Smith as a LinkedIn friend, he would have a very hard time pinpointing which account is the account he is looking for.

Future goals

John really wants to increase his hiring turnout in the near future. He is working on growing his professional network by connecting to and keeping in contact with as many technical prospects as possible.
