Objectives

The main objective of this milestone was to make last refinements to the requirements and update mockups according to the last changes on the requirements, and therefore make the project ready to start design and development phase. The necessary development languages, frameworks, environments should be decided. Also, software development plan, communication plan, and responsibility assignments should be updated if needed.

Work and Deliverables

Main parts of the work done for this milestone are updated requirements and mockups. Alongside those, necessary updates are done for the plans.

Assessment

• The process of the updating requirements was mostly about removing excessive features from the project. Although the requirements we had from the previous semester were consistent in theory, we needed to reduce the number of features in order to be able to implement it within the required period. It was useful to us since the main focus of the project, i.e. give nutritional information about foods and provide a personal assistance, became more clear.

• We were not able to create detailed and precise mockups as we wanted. The tool we used made us focus on the design instead of creating mockups with all required features. Thus, some features may not be present at the current mockups. Also, we haven't finished all mockup pages for our scenarios due to some of the members had not participated in. Yet, this will not be a crucial problem since we will include all features while designing the pages for implementation.

• Customer were not very satisfied with the project presentation. This is mostly due to the lack of details at some mockup pages such as profile page and daily calorie consumption. We understand their concerns. We want to ensure that we are more closely aligned with the customer for this project than they think. We will make necessary corrections according to the feedback we got during the presentation.

• We have decided to the languages, frameworks, and development environments for the implementation phase. Responsibilities are redistributed among the members with newly joined one. Still, the plans need to be updated again with added details.

• We are on the track according to our plans. This week the implementation phase will be started completely. We already have main structures for android and backend parts on our Github repository.

Actions

• Go through requirements again. Make sure to resolve inconsistent parts and remove unnecessary features.

• Communicate with the customers to make sure that the requirements does not miss any features the customers wanted.

• Update development plan with android and design tasks

• Complete initial project setup and base structure of Android project
