@MarkPhillips do you mean separate windows or separate editors showing up in the same window side by side? |
Not sure of terminology. I'm referring to when Split is selected from the
menu

Marking as duplicate of #35379 |
Hi,
Not sure why this issue was closed and markedd as a duplicate. The links
below that were previously sent to me do not mention what I was speaking
of;
- The color of the modified files (#27054)
<https://www.github.com/Microsoft/vscode/issues/27054>
- Cannot split editor to more than 3 groups (#30911)
<https://www.github.com/Microsoft/vscode/issues/30911>
- Make terminal split by default in a new window (#45422)
<https://www.github.com/Microsoft/vscode/issues/45422>
- Vscode insider background color bug (#52099)
<https://www.github.com/Microsoft/vscode/issues/52099>
- Allow to split an editor into two without creating separate tabs
(#36700) <https://www.github.com/Microsoft/vscode/issues/36700>
Here is a graphic of the problem: Note the lack of contrast between the 2
split areas.
[image: image.png]
I have drawn a red link between the sections I am speaking of. A contrast
in color between the 2 open file containers would be helpful.
[image: image.png]
Even a contrast between the two different tab containers would be helpful:

Thanks,
Mark

When Editors Are In Split Windows, their distinction could be amplified by applying a different shading to each window. (Like a html odd even).
Thanks for VS Code
