- Sprint Planning meeting later today. Cleaning separating what developers will be doing versus front-end configuration. Looking to strategize around that. Flysystem updates have been merged, so everyone will have the in their working environment (after a few updates to the installer). Good conversations happening about changing how we use entities. A lot can turn into taxonomy terms.
- iCampCA
- Registration is open
- CFP is open too
- Islandoracon
- Still nailing down exact dates before making announcement
- Melissa: Islandora Foundation newsletter is back and going montlhy
- Brad: UNCC is moving its repo from Oregon to Northern VA. Looking forward to Islandora CLAW's Flysystem so it's easier to work with S3
- Brandon: Members are growing existing collections. In discussion with a member in Aspen about archiving the Aspen Music Festival's digital objects and offering the results to music students. Also working on another upload to DPLA in the next couple of months.
- Bryan: Doing a lot of batch editing using UPitt's Datastreams IO module. Going well, except for file system filling up from redundant MODS. Working on bug fix.
- Gavin: Working on a bug scaling, tuning, and testing on an Islandora system. Doing a lot of upgrades and getting into Tomcat tuning. A Born-Digital dev is helping on the Islandora CLAW sprint and hoping to learn in the process.
- Marcus: Marcus and Nat from USTC are gearing up for the CLAW sprint. USTC has an Islandora CLAW site in production. Waiting for some updates from PI before they do another updates of CLAW.
- Martha: ISLE updates are mostly covered in the newsletter. Also doing work on LASIR, which has its own Google Group
- Wei: Will be away next week
- David: Running Fedora sprints in Sept/Oct timeframe to align current release with API specification work. Fedora has a new Long Term Support Policy. It's likely the current 4.7 line of releases will be the first LTS release.
