Per: Schedule
-
Attending: Nick, Jennifer, Melissa, Mark, Kirsta, Jean, Gavin, Donald, Mark, Eric, Gavin
-
Apologies:
-
Previous meeting notes Previous meetings approved
-
New meeting time: You're soaking in it
-
- Review time has closed. The Roadmap reviewed the remaining comments in the document and resolved outstanding issues. These guidelines, once approved, will go on the web site. The Roadmap will vote on the changes and send the document to the Board for their vote.
-
- Completed over Committers calls. This is done after having started in September. This is a clear process outlined about the committers workflow that doesn't include internal merges. This process is for anything in the Islandora organization and anything new coming in through new software procedure. Mark Jordan raised a question about what GitHub organization this applies to. To help clarify the difference between repositories, the Roadmap (with consultation from the Committers group) will consider the creation of another GitHub organization (split off from labs) that would adhere to the committers guidelines. It would be helpful to have a site map to help people find information.
-
- Need a way to host - now too big for Google Hangouts. Diego has volunteered to do online training. Over 20 people have signed up. Scholar's Portal/Ontario Council of University Libraries has AdobeConnect.
-
Islandora 7.x-1.7 Release
- Code freeze yesterday. We are looking for people to be part of the release team. If you see any empty spots, please sign up. Being an auditor is low impact.
-
Preservation IG (Donald/Nick) Proposal to wind this interest group down and brought back again. There are many members but active participation is low. An email will be sent to the group and update GitHub repository that work is done. This is not the 1st IG to wind down. The Archival and GIS also wound down.
-
Fedora 4 IG (Nick) With the creation of CLAW talks, there was a question of what to do with the Fedora 4 IG. The goals of the IG have been met and will wind down. All use cases will be moved to the CLAW repo.
-
Documentation IG (Melissa) Documentation hasn't met this month.
-
Dev Ops (Mark Jordan) Dev Ops hasn't met this month.
-
Metadata IG (Jennifer) We have a new co-convener, Amanda Lehman.
-
UI Interest Group (Rosie) No report.
-
IR interest group (Donald) Last meeting minutes focused on usage stats at Florida, migration processes, ORCID integration, and decoupling the Scholar Module.
-
iCampFL The schedule is up and registration is strong.
-
iCampBC2 Registration will open early March. Instructors haven't been set yet but is in the works.
-
iCampMO Updates will be starting in April once more information comes in about the venue. This should take place in mid-October.
For the Islandora Conference, there is a subgroup ready that Melissa will contact soon.
Donald: There is a redesign of the Montgomery site. Interested in learning if people use the EAD module.
Gavin: Noah will share more later.
Jennifer: We're adding finding aids (EAD) using the Drexel EAD solution, http://archives-theme.lib.uconn.edu/islandora/object/20002%3ACG.
Mark: They are working on resolving issues with disc space. They are using the move to Islandora kit and has a tutorial which will be shared after this project. You can never do enough testing and need to configure to allow for limitations of infrastructure. MLK prepares the import packages and is modular to accommodate any format.
Melissa: The Lobstometre goal is moving up!
Eric: Performance and scalability are the mail focus for their beta system. This Jira Ticket is the one to watch.
