Meeting Minutes

• Amy to reach out to Kirsta and follow-up with the Committer List and Migration Documentation
  • Good to put some people on the Emeritus Committers List but for certain people we should not remove them as they are still active in commenting. Kirsta was okay with leaving things as they are. Amy will confirm.
• Deprecating (Rosie)
  • The Install Profile Demo. What do we need to do to have this deprecated?
    • Rosie: Mark it as deprecated and not moving to Drupal 10. But what does that mean for the people that use it?
    • Discussion of BD Core. Can’t get its functionality without the Install Profile. Has its benefits.
      • Willow suggested refactoring. The code isn’t amazing–there is a better way. Would this benefit us?
    • Rosie to do an audit on features provided by the install profile. Then we can do a survey to see who is installing the profile and what features do they need to be comfortable moving away from the install profile. And from this we can deprecate.
  • Our copy of the Advanced Search module. Will deprecate when advanced search is added to Drupal. Can be added to the info file.

• Creating a working group for this issue: https://github.com/Islandora/documentation/issues/1481
  • Happens during ingest with workbench with derivatives running. No one can consistently replicate it which has made it a challenge to fix. Happening further in the back-end. Seth suspects this is a rest issue.
  • Amy added to the August Open Meeting to discuss.
• Rosie: MIGs is going to be getting a bunch of PRs for the starter site. Implementing some things like no title length and possible paragraphs. Going to create a document that lists all of the fields in starter site and what you should do with them. There will be duplication and it will be a challenge to maintain.
• Rosie: DIG is planning something for IslandoraCon’s use-a-thon. Also working on versioning the docs (every 6 months or year or so) so there is a way to potentially go back and see old documentation and a list of people’s names associated with it.
• Amy: Proposal for a new IR for liberal arts, colleges, and glam institutions that should be powered up over the summer. Bigger repository management questions and functionalities.
• Amy: Open Meeting coming up in June. Metadata coffee talk, updates on IslandoraCon. A session to broadly discuss active bystander CoC stuff with IslandoraCon coming up.
• Excitement about IslandoraCon!
