- Preparation of schedule of breakout sessions next expert meeting
- 1 session on building
- 1 session on network
- 1 session on coupling and future steps
- 1 session to attend other WPs and join discussion
- Hicham: proposal to have/share some experience on good common practice for building modelling and network modelling in Modelica, maybe supervision of Filip, WP1.1? (Asking for Filip's expert opinions and guidelines for modeling the network and the way it should be coupled to the buildings within a district)
- Someone wants to present something? No one.
- Introduction of Clemens Felsmann
- Presentation available here
- Experience in test cases (BESTEST (IEA Annex 22), HVAC BESTEST (IEA Annex 34)
- First experience: implemented the network
- Load profile
- He'd expect a morning peak after 5 am after night set back, but it seems that there is a peak at 5 pm. It looks like it's shifted. It does not look like measurement data > No, just because of theoretical occupant behaviour.
- Often, standardized load profiles are used, they also don't look like measured profiles...
- Can we go to a more realistic load profile? > Attempt by using stochastic user behaviour in the building simulations
- Pipe characteristics
- How about the pipe data in the Modelica libraries? Might be that some software tools only have a particular library where it is not possible to add own definition. Clemens looked up some manufacturers data. > Might be useful!
- Can we have more simple tests? Steady-state or not?
- Load profile
- DESTEST platform
- Vote on which structure for DESTEST platform. Winning structure is on Google presentation. Tohid will implement
- Hicham's code works for buildings, proposal to extend to networks, once a better idea about the KPIs
- Preparation of schedule of breakout sessions next expert meeting
- The discrepancies between TRNSYS and the IDEAS library was on the ground of the predefined solar zenith and azimuth angle for the calculations - Arash
- Clemens: 99 is often a default value!
- The IDEAS library solar azimuth and zenith angles should be revised - Arash
- Proposal: double check the radiation results for each of the simulation tools with IEA SHC Task 44 - Clemens
- Important to mention if software has passed BESTEST, if so, then it is an issue of input parameters
- Counter proposal: the aim of going through solar radiation in both TRNSYS and the IDEAS library was to just pinpoint the discrepancies not verifying the radiation calculations - Ina
- Enora tried to model the office building, but not yet finished
- It has been proposed to use a more detailed pipe for the network - Clemens
- Defining new KPIs for the network performance - Clemens
- The issue of not having the return temperature for modeling the substation was pointed out - Clemens
- The DESTEST platform was chosen it will be developed - Tohid
- Preference to have network session on 2nd day (Clemens can only attend 2nd day)
